Why many Indians love LinkedIn: Free Content? No. FOMO? Absolutely.

I came across this article by Abhishek Asthana on why he thought he "loves" LinkedIn and LinkedIn stories.
Frankly, I liked reading this graciously insightful article. Here are some fantastic quotes to share:
1️⃣ "Linkedin is like Pragati Maidan these days. There's always a trade fair going on, and every post on your feed is a stall to sale. [...] It's the mutual back-scratching Olympics."
2️⃣ "For the more accomplished ones, LinkedIn only shows people who are doing much better than you. This triggers imposter syndrome."
3️⃣ "Most of their stories are written by ChatGPT, which gets hundreds of comments, again written by ChatGPT. It's a fascinating contest of Artificial Intelligence."
Hey, hey! I know this post sounds juicy and fun to you. Just to tell ya - ISAIL is conducting an awesome Committee Session led by our one and only Ayush Chandra, Chair of the Research Ethics Committee on September 15, 4 PM IST online.
And the best part: it’s free.
We will discuss the economics of AI compute and legal issues around it.

Oh boy, reading this article really takes me back to the days of contributing to 'Collaborative Articles' on totally random, super exciting topics. 🎉
Who wouldn't want to just throw in their thoughts about law, AI, or tech into the void? I mean, I contributed a ton (like, literally a lot), but guess what? No shiny badge for me! 😒💔
But honestly, who needs badges when I've matured? My childhood collectibles are totally obsolete, right? 🤷♂️ #justsaying
In all seriousness, as a tech law specialist, why on Earth would I waste my precious insights to help create articles filled with AI-generated fluff?🤖💩
Everyone knows it's a classic 'Garbage-in-Garbage-out' scenario—just ask Gary Marcus, Dr. Jeffrey Funk or Anindita Biswas, they'll tell you! 📚✌️
And let's not forget how this 'Collaborative Articles' gig makes Indian professionals feel like they're part of a cool club, creating serious FOMO. 📈
But spoiler alert: answering those questions? It doesn't magically fix all our data protection or AI legal woes! It can't be that quick-fix one-stop solution. Why?
Every company - every startup is a complex system with its own challenges and realities. You cannot use automated content to clear your daily problems 🙄.
Seriously, how do you tackle AI legal issues? You don't do it by penning vague articles with the same generalised content; you solve real business problems and build actual systems! ⚙️⚖️
So, let me ask, if most of those contributions are AI-generated, why would anyone trust that content? 🤔🤷♂️
So, what's truly complex is thinking a Collaborative Article can solve the chaos of corporate life. Really? 🤨
In essence, trusting AI-generated content to assess anyone's expertise? That's rich! 😂
P.S.: I truly believe our colleague Ralph Aboujaoude Diaz is truly a Top Meme Management Voice, and I endorse him being automatically designated by this wonderful platform (#corporatesatire) - Bogdan agrees with me 😂.
Anyways, Mondays are stressful, so have a good vibe folks. Have a delightful week. More updates from Indic Pacific Legal Research LLP and Indian Society of Artificial Intelligence and Law are coming right up.
