[New Report] Risk & Responsibility Issues Around AI-Driven Predictive Maintenance, IPLR-IG-009
From Abhivardhan, our Chairperson
Greetings.
I hope this update finds you well.
Today, I want to share with you a topic that has captured my imagination for quite some time: the intriguing confluence of space law and artificial intelligence policy. As someone who has always been fascinated by astronomy and the laws of nature, I find this area of study as captivating as it is important.
For the past few months, I have been working on a comprehensive report titled "Risk & Responsibility Issues Around AI-Driven Predictive Maintenance."
This report, the 9th Infographic Report by Indic Pacific Legal Research LLP, delves into the complex legal landscape surrounding the use of AI in predictive maintenance for spacecraft.
I am excited to announce that the report, IPLR-IG-009, is now available on the IndoPacific App at https://indopacific.app/product/navigating-risk-and-responsibility-in-ai-driven-predictive-maintenance-for-spacecraft-iplr-ig-009-first-edition-2024/.
In this report, I have not only explored the legal implications of AI-driven predictive maintenance but also showcased some fascinating case studies that demonstrate the potential of this technology in the space sector.
These case studies include:
1️⃣ SPAICE Platform
2️⃣ NASA's Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) Project
3️⃣ ESA's Φ-sat-1 (Phi-sat-1) Project
Each of these projects highlights the innovative ways in which AI is being leveraged to enhance the reliability, efficiency, and safety of spacecraft operations. By examining these real-world examples, we can gain valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead as we continue to push the boundaries of space exploration and AI technology.
