The Bharat Pacific Principles of Artificial Intelligence Standardisation, Version 1
From Abhivardhan, our Chairperson
Remember, that months ago, I had discussed about the potential to enable artificial intelligence standardisation via aistandard.io by Indian Society of Artificial Intelligence and Law?
Guess what - we are aiming to achieve that by agreeing to some common basic principles.
I am honoured to present The Bharat Pacific Principles of Artificial Intelligence Standardisation - you can read them at aistandard.in. These standards are pretty much contextual to India's realities.
AI standards are essential for ensuring the safe, ethical, and effective development and deployment of AI technologies. They provide a flexible framework that adapts to different contexts, promotes interoperability, and prevents hype cycles.
Key principles for AI standards include:
1️⃣ Adaptability: Standards must be flexible to accommodate diverse environments.
2️⃣ Interoperability: Promoting compatibility between different AI systems.
3️⃣ Relevance: Ensuring standards are applicable across various industries.
4️⃣ Credibility: Prioritizing practical applications and avoiding hype.
5️⃣ Forward-looking: Considering the long-term sustainability of AI.
6️⃣ Inclusivity: Involving diverse stakeholders in the development process.
In the coming weeks, we will also announce the Consortium Membership Directive of the Indian Society of Artificial Intelligence and Law, signifying our interest as an industry forum to invite startups, MSMEs, incubators, open-source communities & research labs to opt our tiers of membership.
Thank you for your support as always.
