Abhivardhan spoke at G20 Brazil Technical Meeting (Startup20 Engagement Group) on National AI Strategies

We are absolutely delighted to inform that Abhivardhan, our Founder-Chairperson represented the Indian Society of Artificial Intelligence and Law at a recent G20 Brasil 2024 meeting under their Startup20 Brasil Engagement Group yesterday.




The purpose of the technical session was to gather insights on the state of implementing national AI strategies in the public sector, with effectiveness.
Abhivardhan highlighted key problems with the current slate of so many national AI strategies:
😮 Insufficient focus on capacity building for AI proliferation, commercialization and integration
😢 Limited recognition of diverse AI use cases and local contexts
😅 The unclear & incapacitated role of regional and local government institutions in Responsible AI governance
😑 Dichotomous challenges around AI deployment and development
Specific solutions were proposed on behalf of Indic Pacific Legal Research LLP by Abhivardhan, such as harmonizing various technical and economic-ethical AI benchmarking methods by OSS communities, startups and others, and many more.
