Speaking in the CLEA International Conference on Law and Technology
From Abhivardhan, our Chairperson
This is one of those days, when I truly feel humbled and honoured at my heart.
It was my honour to represent the Indian Society of Artificial Intelligence and Law at the Commonwealth Legal Education Association India's International Conference on Law and Technology at the kind invitation of the respected Attorney General for India.
With utmost pleasure, I did speak about India's AI policy landscape, how should we adopt measures for effective case management and judicial best practices with angle of #legaldesign. It was an honour to speak alongside Justice Mr A Mustaque, Acting Chief Justice, High Court Of Kerala, Akhil Suresh P B and others.
I was in awe when Hon'ble Mr Justice M Sundar from the High Court of Madras acknowledged India's first privately proposed #AI bill, aiact.in Version 3. I am glad he discussed in brief about my AI regulation proposal. That was an unexpected delight.
It was also a delight to discuss about the potential of Asian judicial systems, to decolonise some facets of their access routes, and overall duties of care towards parties in a dispute, with venerable judges, especially Justice Padmanathan, from Malaysia.
I also witnessed some amazing legal technology initiatives, from the Kerala High Court's dashboard of cases, Adalat AI as a replacement to stenography work at the level of district courts, and some amazing work of Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) and Kochi Water Metro.
Special thanks to Ruchi Sharma and team for hosting me in this prestigious forum at Kumarakom, Kerala. 🙏
