It is my honour to attend the coveted #RaisinaDialogue 2024 co-organised by the Observer Research Foundation and Ministry of External Affairs, India.
I am always glad to represent the Indian Society of Artificial Intelligence and Law and discuss about AI standardisation efforts to all.
Many people appreciated my work on AI governance, especially my recent AI book (get a copy of the #AI book at https://amzn.eu/d/eYwQfJv)
Let's talk about some of the best panel discussions of the Dialogue.
This year, the Hellenic Republic's PM was invited as the Chief Guest, which makes sense for India's relations with Southern & Eastern Europe. The audience missed the Sergei Lavrov dialogue which was fun in 2023.
What made me feel satisfied was that the India-Middle East Economic Corridor is still alive and kicking (Constantino Xavier did point out in his recent piece for Financial Express: https://www.financialexpress.com/opinion/setting-course-for-the-imec-gaza-war-has-delayed-plans-for-the-corridor-but-cant-derail-them/3372191/).
Perhaps because Raisina Dialogue clashed with the G20 Brazil Foreign Ministers' Meeting, the discussions were not that fashionable or turned out to be too bland this year. No worries at all.
Still, here are some Raisina panels you must watch. They are insightful and some of the best.
1. Red Haze: The ‘Derisking’ Question
Do check out the question posed by Deepanshu Singh - it was fun) : https://www.youtube.com/live/tBBuTGgni28?si=e8XN2CbpE3PvkdPQ
2. Emerging Technologies: A Panacea for the SDGs?
Complete discussion:
The insights on the use of emerging technologies for achieving real #SDGs by Abhishek Singh and Dr.Hoda A.Alkhzaimi were the best to look out for.
3. The Wonk Tank: Where Expertise Meets Authority
The second best discussion so far on usual issues of multipolarity and multilateralism, but with some fun.
4. A Tapestry of Truths: Can the Two Hemispheres Agree?
Listening Dr Anwar Gargash and his insights on technology and geopolitics is always an honour.
There were some other fantastic discussions ft. stalwarts like Dhruva Jaishankar, Max Abrahms, Sanjeev Sanyal and others.
It has been fun, but I am sure that February is not ending soon. :)
