We are starting this week with something pseudo cinematic and fun!
Presenting “AI and Geopolitics 101”, a visualiser by Indic Pacific.
This is similar to the AI and Law 101 visualiser that I had developed for iFEEL - Institute for Future Education Entrepreneurship and Leadership for their March 2025 session on AI and Law.
I dedicate this visualiser to Prof. Vignesh Ram, PhD and Dr Jagannath Panda.
Dr Vignesh Ram has been more than a friend, and a kind supporter of what we have developed in 5-6 years, while Dr Panda, is one of the rarest and unique Indian voices in the Indo-Pacific x Europe side for the Institute for Security and Development Policy (ISDP). Hence, just a tribute.
The cover design of the visualiser is a tribute or ode to the spirit of global cinema, and Indian foreign policy.
But on a funny note - can we give a cinema twist to real geopolitical equations around AI?
Conceptually yes - because the AI x geopolitics reality is stuck due to tech and geopolitical bubbles of people not talking to one another.
But it is still cinematic - not for the awe and shock or 20th century cold war nostalgia.
It is cinematic because while some tech law fundamentals don’t change, resource wars and supply vs tech narratives do not explain everything in an obvious way.
This is where I think the nexus is boring, really “Slow Horses” type boring.
But the churn matters. The heuristics, market desperation, manipulation of IP laws, benchmark gaming - these things actually give some hints on what possibly AI x geopolitics truly is.
And we are not against use of AI in diplomacy, but we skipped on that part because generative AI is unreliable for diplomatic and consular matters.
Hence we strictly do not endorse things which are unreliable. Enjoy this visualiser folks.
