Outcome Document on the ISAIL Research Ethics Committee Session on AI, Geopolitics & Geoeconomics [AISTANDARDIO-REC-0001-2024]
From Abhivardhan, our Chairperson
As this week ends, let me leave you with our AI policy documentation efforts at the Indian Society of Artificial Intelligence and Law.
Aditya Jakki, Chief Media Advisor at ISAIL has curated this outcome document on a Committee Session we had conducted with the Research Ethics Committee on April 24, 2024 led by Mohammed Soliman.
This session was centered around the strategic impact of artificial intelligence in geopolitics & geoeconomics. We had hosted Bharat Reddy, Anushka Saxena and Satya S. Sahu from the The Takshashila Institution, Bengaluru to share their insights.

We had to address these policy questions around AI, geopolitics and geoeconomics, such as:
What are the specific geopolitical risks and opportunities about the advancement of AI when it comes to MSMEs, start-up economy and others?
How might AI driven economic growth reshape global trade patterns and economic alliances?
What are the potential impacts of AI on the labour market? How this might affect migration patterns, international relations etc?
How might the integration of AI and critical infrastructure within the Indo-Pacific region may alter strategic dependencies and vulnerabilities at the global scale?
You will find more of such documentation started by the Secretariat at indopacific.app/aistandard.
Have a great weekend ahead folks. And make sure you try the ISAIL membership eligibility test for free, for fun at isail.in/test.
