[New Collection] Artificial Intelligence and Policy in India, Volume 5
From Abhivardhan, our Chairperson
🚀 Thrilled to announce the release of "Artificial Intelligence and Policy in India, Volume 5" - a research collection I had the privilege of co-editing with Pratejas Tomar.
As AI continues to rapidly transform every aspect of society, it is crucial that we critically examine the policy challenges and opportunities it presents, especially in the Indian context.
This volume brings together insightful papers from some of the brightest young minds in AI law and policy, offering diverse perspectives on key issues:
🔒 Bhavya Singh tackles the complex interplay between the pioneering EU AI Act and India's evolving data protection framework. As AI governance takes shape globally, understanding this dynamic is vital.
🏗️ Purnima Sihmar investigates the risks surrounding AI integration in public infrastructure projects. Identifying and mitigating these risks is essential for responsible AI deployment in the public interest.
📺 Harinandana V sheds light on the subtle ways AI is influencing the advertising landscape, often without consumer awareness. Promoting transparency is key to protecting rights in an AI-driven attention economy.
I'm incredibly proud of the work put in by our talented research interns at the Indian Society of Artificial Intelligence and Law (ISAIL).
Their contributions exemplify the importance of nurturing the next generation of AI policy leaders.
This volume builds upon our ongoing collaboration between ISAIL and Indic Pacific Legal Research LLP to advance rigorous, timely research on AI policy issues in India and beyond.
In a field as fast-moving as AI, such efforts to bridge theory and practice are invaluable.
