To boost investor confidence and market certainty, governments in the Global South need to address critical issues such as data protection policies, intellectual property rights, and fair access to AI resources.
I call it a form of market-related strategic hedging around AI Governance for the Government of India, and several global south governments.
We need this because compliance with regulations should be first steelmanned by effective market practices and standards recognised, in the AI spaces.
This is why it is kind of like a form of strategic hedging.
