Just because some Supreme Court of Illinois has come up with its AI use guidelines, does not imply I need to comment on every single AI policy update.
The reason is obvious - these updates (most of them) are fraught.
The debate is engineered to create a fake narrative for enabling regulatory capture. That is why one should be careful about discussing such fraught documents which have no educative value.
Anyways, ignoring some American court's whim - I am happy to announce that the Secretariat of the Indian Society of Artificial Intelligence and Law welcomes the initiation of One Nation One Subscription.
India has many talented academic people, and even many who might not be that talented in academia, but might be open to read better. I recall a brilliant article by Sanjeev Sanyal (read: https://www.newindianexpress.com/opinions/2024/Dec/27/the-demise-of-the-college-lecture-foretold) on how RoughDraft AI can help in making lectures, and education deliverables more mobile, to give incentive to academics & teachers to focus more on research.
I believe in that context, ONOS is a welcome move, and we look forward to see how can ISAIL make citizens and scholars in accredited institutions aware about this deliverable.
There will be some technical third-party hiccups, which National Informatics Centre, Govt of India would have to take care of. However, I am much hopeful for this.
We might come up with relevant AI Principles on Education, if and as may be necessary.
