ISAIL launches The Orchha Principles for AI and Copyright in the Digital Age
From Abhivardhan, our Chairperson
I am personally glad to announce launch of the historic "Orchha" AI Principles by the Indian Society of Artificial Intelligence and Law.
The Orchha Principles for AI and Copyright in the Digital Age can be now read the complete text at: https://www.isail.in/the-bharat-pacific-principles/the-orchha-principles-for-ai-and-copyright-in-the-digital-age-%5Bthe-orchha-ai-principles%5D
First, we are grateful for the feedback received by our Advisory Council experts, Sunil Jose, Ankit Sahni, and others. We also acknowledge the drafting, and revisioning efforts of Kailash Chauhan, Chair, AI Development Committee and Jha Arunima CIPP(E).
Second - why Orchha? Why not Koramangala, or Whitefield, or Udyog Vihar, or Basant Vihar? Why some mediocre Indian town, right? 🤔
Because Orchha represents India's rich heritage 🏛️, architectural marvels 🏰, and wildlife sanctuary 🦁. It stands as a symbol of preservation 🌿 and innovation 💡, much like these principles aim to protect creativity while embracing technological advancement 🚀.
The town's historical significance 📚 and cultural diversity 🎨 mirror our approach to balancing tradition with progress in the digital age 💫.
We hope that the principles will guide the future of our knowledge partnerships to promote copyright-friendly AI practices, to the best of our knowledge, and attribution.
