Ditch the Grumpy Balloons: Practical AI Standards over Empty Talk
From Mridutpal Bhattacharyya, Chief Policy Advisor
Tired of think tanks, and "policy forums", and even trades-people spouting the same-to-same contextless, juvenile discourse around technology, geopolitics, economics & regulation?
We are sure many of us, common people, businesses, value chain partners/ vendors, and others, feel the same. It's useless to encourage regulation when you know it would never work, against market & economy dynamics.
At the same time, ethics begin with contracts as well. Sometimes regulations may act like that grumpy red balloon which might fall off someday.
This is why, under Abhivardhan and Sanjay Rohra's leadership, the Secretariat had adopted the AiStandard.io Alliance Charter (Ai-AC), so that we do not lose our way (https://www.isail.in/_files/ugd/f0525d_0cba36d47d34467996206515a8f6883e.pdf?index=true).
In fact, look at the Schedule 1 of the Charter. We have adopted a list of classifications that may be possible to adopt AI standards, as part of our original artificial intelligence standardisation initiatives.
We have ZERO INTENT to encourage to outpace Europe or American nations in regulation. In fact, we should recognise the potential of our markets, and act reasonable.
Let's take our innovators forward, and build standards - one by one. Presenting the aistandard.io initiative, again folks. Have nice holidays.
