Discussing the Potential of Open Source AI Models with Future Shift Labs

With some adieu to Feb 2025, I had a lovely interaction with Nomalanga Mashinini, and Damar Juniarto in a discussion hosted by Future Shift Labs under the helm of Aastha Naresh Kohli nearly 2 weeks ago.

These are some of my high-end thoughts on the "DeepSeek" and "Kimi AI" phenomenon per se.

I think it is necessary that we understand the necessity of open-source AI models, which are sustainable enough, and why AI standardisation is inherently needed for Indo-Pacific & Global South markets, including India.
