Discussing Global AI Regulation Realities at Invest Karnataka 2025
From Abhivardhan, our Chairperson
And there concludes the Day 2 of Invest Karnataka 2025 by the Government of Karnataka.
My interactions around AI governance risks have been multi-fold, some in a wonderful panel with Gillian Lester, James (Kayliang) Ong, Anka Reuel and Var Shankar, and some with the hyper-engaged audience, post-panel.
I literally ran out of words to say thank you to the audience which showed their intrigue to further discuss about AI compliance dilemmas, especially about binding approaches like EU AI Act, and non-binding ones like ISO 42001.
I hoped the moderator should have thought better of Indian AI policy realities, but that's okay. Tech journalists do it much better.
Anyways, you can watch part of my interactions here.
It was lovely to meet & discuss about India AI policy realities, and share with my copanellists from two different sides of the globe about the little Lucknow, and its potential as an AI City and a mini IT hub. I don't buy the hype of UP Government at all, but the idea to have an AI City, is possible at the heart of India's Hindi belt, and this is why we should discuss better about emerging cities & places in India.
Thanks Bengaluru. See you again, maybe some other day. :)
