I was honourably quoted by APAC News Network on India's first privately proposed #artificialintelligence regulation, aiact.in in context with MeiTY minister Ashwini Vaishnaw's response in the Parliament on "AI Regulation".
Here's what I was quoted for:
"AI legislations should address questions of last-mile implementing value, whether they can be applicable to the larger organised and unorganised streams of the Indian tech ecosystem."
I believe that the value of any regulation will only exist when we have settled, adaptive & practical legal positions. You can read the excerpts of the interaction at https://apacnewsnetwork.com/2024/12/balance-innovation-with-regulation-experts-discuss-future-legal-framework-of-ai-in-india
Btw, this reminds me to ask, why has the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology / NITI Aayog Official not thought of coming up with updating the Indian National AI Strategy? I think the strategies should bear a consultative nature, and it's been 6 years anyways.
What do you think of my views published by the APAC Network? Anything to add?
